Play towards your joy! Thurs July 2 – Sat July 4, 2026 Program

Awaken Your Inner Actor-Adventurer focuses on play as creativity and a joyful necessity and is a weekend workshop dedicated to play! In this improv/play workshop we will dive into creating in solo, duos and groups incorporating improv, storytelling, theatre games, movement and character development. This supportive workshop environment is for the beginner and experienced creative alike who has curiosity for play in a community of like-minded people. Stretch your play skills, create and go with your imaginative improv impulse!

With a background as an actor, playwright, mover and singer, Lisa Randall's facilitation approach embodies the importance of play in personal and creative growth. Last summer, Lisa’s solo show Sister Sophia Kicks the Habit was selected by The Vibe Hamilton as ’15 shows not to miss’. She will be taking Sister Sophia to the Edinburgh and Victoria Fringe Festivals this summer. She is an award-winning playwright; her play, The Sorauren Book Club received Patron’s Pick Award at the 2022 Toronto Fringe Festival. She acted in the Toronto Fringe production of Desperate Measures, which won best new play in My Entertainment World. Lisa runs improv/storytelling retreats and is available for team and leadership training including dramatic role play. With a background as an artist and 30 years of experience in non profit leadership and museum administration, Lisa brings a unique blend of artistic, play and group leadership skills.

Date: July 2nd - 4th, Thursday evening to Saturday afternoon. Cost: $203.50 +HST
