Sister Sophia Kicks the Habit delves into the revelations of Sister Sophia, an aging Roman Catholic nun in crisis. As she grieves the loss of her best friend Sister Beatrice, she grapples with the realities of her half century of sisterhood in her own restless night of the soul. Through her humorous and insightful musings, Sister Sophia confronts g(G)od and in her quest to finally be heard, she discovers a newfound outlook on life (link to SSKTH page and press).
The Sorauren Book Club: When is a book club only about the book ***** Winner Patron's Pick, Toronto Fringe Festival, Al Green Theatre *****
This comedic and heartwarming play, tells the story of five diverse female characters and their relationships. Friendships are tested, secrets threatened to be exposed and unknown pasts invited to the present. These vibrant and tenacious women share their disappointment and faith, along with their abiding love for each other in a play full of humor, emotions and human fallibility (links to SBC photos and press).

The Toreador’s March
After their father freezes to death steps from his back door, his two middle-aged daughters Joan and Larissa set out on a two-day hike, to mourn and spread their dad’s ashes on the Canada Trail - a route they hiked with him as teenagers. Day one, they are reminiscing, reliving childhood pranks, playing their dad’s game of toreador and considering their own environmental impacts on the planet. By day two, feeling betrayed by her dad and sister, Larissa abandons Joan on the trail at nightfall. When they are both alone, each lost and afraid, a band of coyotes out on a family hunt intervenes and forces the sisters to come to terms with the past and find safety in each other.
Window Treatment
Window Treatment is a play about several middle-aged women visiting and caring for their elderly parents outside of their windows in institutions during and post COVID-19. The play is about theses family’s journeys during and after the pandemic.
